Henrik Larsson – As perhaps the best player to ever go into the Scottish leagues, it’d be a fair bet to say Larsson tops the list for many. Playing for Celtic between ’97 and ’04 whilst also turning down a transfer offer to the likes of Manchester United at the time, he’s certainly held a lot of praise during his time. With a transfer fee of just £600,000, something certainly unheard of these days for a player that was able to put 242 in the net across 315 appearances, he’s probably one of the best value for money players that have ever been picked up in all of football – many fans may even be a little upset now after missing out on the opportunity to pick up on Henriks son, Jordan.
