Wembley Awaits? Five Apps To Keep You Occupied On Your Euro 2021 Travels

It’s unsure as to what will happen in terms of fans at Euro 2021 this summer, but one things for sure, Scots will be making their way across the border on their travels if allowed to do so.

The Tartan Army will be out in full force, and whether you’ll be taking long train rides to London, or trips over to Hampden Park, there will be a lot of waiting around given the restrictions. So, what to do with yourself?

If you’re planning on following Steve Clarke’s boys over the summer, then here are a few top apps to keep you entertained…

Football Manager

Why not see how far you can take the Scottish national team in the competition and download Football Manager to your smartphone or tablet device. It’s easy to spend hours on public transport with this game, and you’ll be feeling like Steve Clarke in no time at all.

You can of course choose to manage a club side too, and no matter who you decide to play with it's almost impossible not to get hooked and probably take far too seriously as well.

Bingo

On the other hand, you can look for something a little more light hearted in bingo. There are dozens of different variants to enjoy online or via app, with a number of reputable slingo sites for an example having tried and trusted apps for you to download.

Alternatively, you could create your own Euros bingo with all the things you expect to see travelling the country to watch Scotland, or in the grounds themselves. Flags face painted onto people, novelty wigs, dancing in the Trafalgar Square fountains, we really could go on.

talkSPORT/BBC Sounds

Things really do move on quickly in tournament football, and you’d hate to miss out on some breaking news while travelling around. It will be wall-to-wall coverage on the likes of talkSPORT and Radio 5Live, so download the relevant apps and ensure you don’t miss a thing.

What’s more, if you’re travelling while a game is on you can also tune in so you miss none of the action.

The Official Euros app

The official Euro 2020 app is also available to download in the app store and offers up plenty of information for both fans watching from home and those travelling around, with maps, fan meeting points and much more.

It’s jam-packed with great content and is a must, especially if you are moving from city-to-city during the Group Stage.
