Scottish Football Tips Best Bets 12th March 2016

We are delighted to continue a tie up with Scottish Football Tips who will be providing us with a regular series of free football tips. These guys have a great track record of success in tipping and are well worth a follow on twitter too (@FitbaTips).

It was another good week last week with all but the IWAC coming in. The world and his dog were on Dundee in some form so I can’t be held totally accountable although rumour has it that the P&B forum curse had something to do with it.

If the Even Money Double keeps up it won’t be long before I am dropping everything and just backing it hard. Seven wins from nine is as good as you can ask for on even money shots so long may that run continue.

For this week’s I am following on from last week with two short priced favourites. Celtic have won the last nineteen match ups against Thistle and with Aberdeen applying pressure they should make it twenty.

The only way Aberdeen won’t beat Kilmarnock is if Celtic fail to beat Thistle. They have had a problem all season when the opportunity to take the lead presents itself. So long as Celtic get the EMD off to a good start in the early kick off that shouldn’t be a problem.

The NAP this week comes from Paisley and not for the first time. They have done us well since Alex Rae and David Farrell have turned things around. Three home wins from four must seem like dreamland to the Buddies and that can get even better if they repeat their win over Queens from a few weeks back.

Even though their playoff ambitions have faltered there is still much to play for. They are but a kick in the arse away from their playoff nightmares being realised at the other end of the table so another three points will be very welcome.

Queen Of The South’s away form is dismal and was exemplified by another poor showing on the road midweek. The brave could think of backing St Mirren outright (or even To Win To Nil) but Draw No Bet insurance is probably called for.

For the IWAC I am taking a different route by backing a bet that will have to wait until the season’s end to be realised. Kilmarnock have a tough few games with Celtic and a trip to Thistle up next after Aberdeen. By the time they meet St Johnstone in April they may already be bottom of the table.

Much relies on much more, of course, but on current form they seem the most likely of the bottom three to finish propping everyone else up. You can get 5.5 (9/2) from bet365 on that happening and I think it’s worth a few pennies to make the battle to beat the drop even more interesting than it it already is.

Good luck this weekend.
